good morning welcome to the Texas migrant Interstate programs migratory interstate interstate coordination conference first and foremost I want to thank the student performances that you just saw one of the first one was Lakeview High School Mariachi with the directors of Rosendo Ramos and Ezra Ramirez from San Angelo ISD in region 15 and the Roper that you just saw during the road trips thank you to him that's Israel Hernandez a student at Clint ISD in Region 19 we appreciate the students their districts and their escs for submitting their videos for the conference so thank you so welcome to all of you and thank you for all to all of you for being with us this morning and 4 / 2 waiting in the conference my name is Wendy for and I currently serve as the tmip project manager as such I've had the opportunity to coordinate and organize this conference that you're attending I want to thank the Texas Education Haitian agency migrant education program team for their guidance and support of tmip and of this conference I also want to say thank you to my co-workers Karina Gonzalez and Jacob Ortega for serving us facilitate stream is conference for helping with the music and assisting with the little details and then finally I have to give a huge shout out to Lily Hernandez the tmit operations assistant who is not only serving as a fish Willie Taylor for the conference but she also handled all the technical assistance request the day-to-day office operations and help troubleshoot details so that I could really devote my attention to conference planning so thank you to all of you I appreciate so very much so the theme for the conference the formula to success is reflected throughout the amazing sessions in which you have the opportunity to learn grow and participate I encourage you to take full advantage of the sessions not only so that you can obtain information to make you successful in the important job that you do but also so that you can equip yourself with the tools in the information you need to assist shared migratory students as they calculate their own formulas 26s because of the virtual format of the conference you are able to attend both live and recorded sessions this means you can and every single session being offered at this year's conference all sessions being recorded you can review the information from the Texas Education Agency Our Community Partners and your fellow practitioners at your convenience also have a session for parents which will be presented by an hour Texas State parent advisory Council again this session will be reported and parents who are unable to attend the live presentation will be able to view the record so again welcome we're glad you're here and it's this time I would like to extend a warm welcome to Miss Dee Dee Garcia Texas Education Agency assistant division director and state migrant vacation program director and I would like her to share the conference greeting DD thank you good morning everybody thank you for those of you who may be here a little earlier than usual if you're in a different time zone but again I want to welcome everybody to our tmip conference do the direction of a new grantee so hopefully everybody enjoys the conference we have a lot of things to offer this morning and tomorrow so I hope you all enjoy it but I do you have a short presentation but thank you Wendy Jen welcome next line for those of you who may be from for out-of-state partners and even for those within did text us I kind of wanted to share a little bit about what are Texas map program looks like we have 20 service centers throughout the state we are as many of you all know our numbers have been declining for our migrant program within the state but I do want to share some information nation that we just got friends at US Department of Ed and I want to applaud all the efforts of all our ESC in the state that have made do our recruitment for a migrant students and applaud them for the numbers that we have just received for category 1 which are regular students last year in 21 22 we had a little over 20,000 kids identified this year. scary numbers from M6 we are at 19761 so that's just a 5% decrease from last year which is significant considering dead in pasture sews numbers have real decrease but I do want to applaud the efforts for category two which are summer count in 21 22 we had 303320 students and preliminary relief 2223 we had 3527 which is a 6% increase so thank you for all the efforts for our recruiters for rest that go out identify the students applaud the efforts thank you and those are the students that are out-of-state Partners may also be touching as well next light give you a bird's-eye view of what our program looks like from the state level and are different initiatives are different Grande Cheese that we have a at the state level it is a state-run program at the Texas Education Agency we distribute our funding to Ali-A which currently we have 69 projects we have 312 Ali-A's that are members of a shared services arrangement we have 16 eses that our Fiscal Agent for those shared services we have 825 lb case that did not apply that's inclusive of l e s dad declined funding which no or yes please have to provide services for those nonprofit accident districts also the US were not eligible to receive funding do we have rest basic Services Grants which all of our 20 Educational Service Centers need to provide services to our project Ali-A's as well as our non-project Ali-A and provide those services to them then we have our MEP capacity building and Cricket initiative which is housed out of Region 20 where they put in where they develop our medportal our aims guidebook they also have all our curriculum resources that we have but we are proud to say that our team at portal is all inclusive of everything migrant anything that we develop all of initiatives all resources are out on that website and our aims guidebook is our Jewel in there where it kind of it's an online resource for 4 a public resource the dead will guides Elliott's parents to have that continued service for a migrant students if they are essay my great then we have our tmip initiative which is responsible and for the conference today so that's also out of Region 20 we have our MEPS distance initiative which is out of region one and they primarily are responsible for help desk for our state system text and yes they also help with M6 take URI DNR course they also currently have on family hotline so very much kudos to our MEP systems initiative then we have two contracts we have our evaluation contract with Matt and Associates who works with us year-round to develop our evaluation T end of the year then we have our are texting GS contract with quisitive a cool houses who maintains our state system and also submit stata 24in  so that's just drove quick bird's-eye view of what but the state does for a map program and we couldn't do it without any of these initiatives they are they are invaluable to us for all the work that they do with our program next flight and I want to take this opportunity to thank all our presenters and our participants we have so much to offer like I said earlier on our schedule as far as who will be presenting we have office of Migrant education ID idrc isosy are helping camp programs Texas Workforce Commission Texas Glade the national Center for farmworker help our state pack members of the utrgv high school equivalency program RGV Focus other Texas Education colleagues are regions service centers are local education agencies and our guest speaker doctor on a bender Rodriguez will be speaking Tomorrow there's others that I'm sure I left off this list I don't want to leave anybody out but thank you for everybody that is presenting and participating in the conference I extremely want you think are out-of-state Partners I think the first time we've ever had these many out-of-state Partners participate in the conference thank you to Pennsylvania Florida Indiana Arkansas Kentucky to have Indiana twice their Nebraska New Mexico Washington Michigan Minnesota South Dakota Wisconsin and Illinois and if I left somebody off I do apologize but thank you all so much I want you to enjoy the conference again there so well information that we want to share so I hope you enjoy it and have a good conference thank you thank you Didi and now I will remind me to see. Are you buying you will start it without introducing myself easily banyas and I am program director here and at the TA and I know that those of you that are today something love you and most of you baby familiar with tmip it's a program initiative that we've had for many years but we're very pleased to be able to share with you today the redesign the Texas migrant Interstate program and as Dimension we have a new a new brand T and one of them take this opportunity this morning to talk to you a little bit about what am I pee now looks like but want to begin with the next slide first things first we want to do an icebreaker with you we want to know exactly what going on as far as whether all around me understand all the the different partners that we have from out of state and then of course our partners from within the state so we want to know give us your name give me sister first name if you want to go where you from and what is the weather like where you are at for those of you are to stay here in Texas is it slow we can go all the way from warm to cold and windy from day-to-day so yes you can see here in Texas and even across Texas at even very we have a lot going on as you can see take a look at the chat 30° and El Paso Georgina Minnesota's cloudy Lubbock in West Texas 24 hours no I thought I saw there thank you so much for sharing your weather reports with us thank you so where can I go ahead and coupon appreciate you also saying hello as you can see we're very welcome in here in Texas even though we are here virtually we're sending virtual hugs and handshakes to all of you want to begin with a little bit on federal guidelines statutory purposes of the migrant education program as you can see it is to assist States and supporting high-quality and comprehensive educational programs and services during the school week Ennis applicable applicable during the summer or intercession periods that address the unique needs of educational needs of migratory children also to ensure that Margaret for children who move among the states are not penalize in any manner by disparities among the states and curriculum graduation requirements and challenging State academic standards that's we're talking a bit about this want you to think about what your thoughts or your view on the Texas migrant Interstate program is cuz you'll be able to see some of these things some of these qualities and these practices as part of that initiative to ensure that migratory children receive Food and appropriate opportunity suit the same challenging State academic standards that all children are expected to meet to help migratory children overcome educational disruption cultural and language barriers social isolation various health-related problems another factors that inhibit the ability of such children to succeed in school and to help migratory children benefit from the state and local systemic reforms so we're going to move on to what is song interstate and intrastate coordination services that could be made available interstate and intrastate coordination strategies may include but are not limited to the following types of services between and among the local operating agencies nsca's we're talkin about within the state and out of state this is according to the myth non-regulatory guidance chapter 6 so notifying receiving school districts about migrant families who have moved to those discs promoting the exchange of student educational records developing academic credit accrual and academic credit exchange programs will look at collaborating a summer term project fi curriculum exchanging teachers and teaching materials implementing Dropout prevention programs exchanging information on health screenings health problems but interrupt a student's Education meeting with others place to discuss issues related to the map and then meeting with other states to develop comprehensive needs assessment pilot which all states may use the model to make this requirement again as you can see some of these things are things were going to talk about that are part of the tmip initiative so we'll move on here in Texas out of state level meth. we have a process where we do random validations for part of the monitoring of the program and in this we want to share a bed I meant that we use we have a handbook that provides guidance as to what is that a requirement that we're looking at we provide guidance and we provide resources to ensure that the Elias in our state understand what is the expectation most important what is the requirement as it pertains to the different elements of program in here you see interstate and intrastate is one of the requirements that we do look weather random validation now if we look at the next light we will see that most specifically we provide with them what is the citation and language that does that requirement and then we also include that in operations has provisions and assurances section as part of the application and we sighted here in the handbook also in the next life we give the Elliott's an opportunity to do a self-check for example in here the compliance report program compliance to check item includes interstate interstate coordination the l.a. insurance interstate and intrastate coordination of services for migratory children to provide education continuity tiny transfer permanent school records provide for them what is the expectation what is requirement the documentation that is needed so we looking for example 1.2 call logs copies of logs documentation communication be Eleazar and receiving or sending Elias and state just to give you an idea as to how we ensure that this is taking place in our state so we're going to go ahead and move on so what is tmip so the mission of the Texas migrant Interstate program is to help reduce the effects of the education disruption that Texas is mobile migratory students often face as a migrate within the state and out-of-state to see qualifying temporary or seasonal employment in the agricultural or fishing industry so as you can see our main goal with this initiative is to reduce those effects and we do this by the following the tmip assist migratory students their families school counselors and Interstate and intrastate met stop so tmip worth them to ensure that a student's critical information is shared securely that is students the students are place an appropriate courses great levels and secondary credit approval needs are met or on-time graduation from high school the tmip coordinates with receiving Texas migratory students to afford these students and equal opportunity to take the state of Texas assessments of academic readiness non-migratory students to so as you can see it's an important issue to for us to be able to do exactly what this conference all about to have that coordination to have that collaboration not only within the state but out of state and we truly appreciate those of you that are here out of state Partners to show your support for Texas most important for the Texas migratory students that go to your state we'll move on to the next slide and I'll pass this on to next Panera who is the program coordinator thank you notes good morning buenos dias command benvenue other words Savannah we have a lot of Partners from other states and now it really is exciting so you know the law that backs of the program in North Africa play Release the purpose of the program is to ensure that we reduce as much as possible the barriers our kids face when they move so is our kids are not Minnesota kids Indiana kids the factors that are kids move all over the place so I'm good neighbors and we we we have to help each other and we have to work together and that is one of the big purposes of the MIP program we realize that Texas is a big sending stadium in a lot of our family in Texas and moving and working it in your state and and two other districts through the state so we realize that there was a need to have that in the interstate and intrastate coordination so the purpose of the team my piece to provide children with the opportunity to meet the same charging State content so at the end of the day is to ensure that children receive the qualification that they're entitled to at the end of the day so we can we're highlighting some of our you know you guys also have to do an evaluation and how the program implemented in Elgin Texas reviews of fidelity implementation to this has to do with the different areas that we want to ensure their scrubs so for goal area 3 we have high school graduation so how do we ensure that our markets that are moving constant that are facing challenges because of Rachel and because of great transferring also social emotional changes that happens as they move don't drop out of school if I end up graduating additionally for our kids that do end up dropping out or if they coming to to the state and they actually have never entered the dedication alaria how do we get them either back into school or we providing Educational Services that help them in the life so that strategy the car named provide appropriate and tiger the supplemental instruction to migratory children in grades nine through 12 and always willing to learn and Implement an early withdrawals and this is really crucial with MIP this is how we ensure that this is how we also district will ask her if she has to coordinate with tmip and other school district than ESC programs to provide services for the students additionally we have a 3.3 coordinating pro bikes go secondary in high school equivalency programs information to secondary H migratory students so how do we ensure that our kids are aware of the the services that we provide one of the ways how to Communications with tmip Wilson what you guys are coming today that you might be secondary credit worship we are going to be naming this is just that this is what the weight of the guidelines were when we implemented this year but why you are coming today this is Dad and also work with that you might be out of state somewhere my contacts to ensure that we know who we're working with other states also the fact that we have so much representation from our neighbors from our partners than it really is heartwarming in in amazing because we're able to make those connections we know how crucial it is that we know what is happening I'm sure that you guys have sent us move notifications and they are requesting which we promise we do our best to answer those in a timely manner. we do appreciate that because we might as well utilize the tools that we haven't in the factors that we have technology that allows for that week transfer of information or as quick as possible in the past you know we we used to have to use papers like reasonable moving on and in your room is important to two bettas Connections in and work together and then the last strategy and provide services to h y based on the identify needs and this can be done statue coordination with the MIP so either questions about how do I serve my always wife tmip can provide services that you can contact them either via email or phone calls that we can move to the next line Wendy and then we also have goalie at 4 which is not instructional support support services start a 4.3 in the case that we have to educate the map l e a stop on the you need me to make a picture of Student Success I just don't you think training is on a Thursday and it's 60 nation that I don't in coordination with u t m i t training provided by the escc MIP and others and training provided to counselors a recovery always why in coordination with tmib at the end of the day if we identify each other and we are not serving them how good is how good is a problem but we also understand if you don't know what service is what resource that is so very so we are trying to alleviate some of that as you can see we we try to do training we try to we have the Tema portal we we have we have tried to utilize technology as much as possible to ensure that you got are aware of the services that we have here in Texas what are we also want to know what's available in other states that does doesn't wear that interstate I need to take our nation is really crucial because we want to know okay once our families are moving to to South Dakota that translation is so smooth as possible and that we have started 4.0 which is dedicated and Elli a stop by the instructional and support services provided by other funding sources for migratory students receive services they are entitled to as you know we are we are supplemental program so we got to make sure that that our children are receiving the services that they're entitled to any other day and this is not through training some interest in collaboration additionally we do trains with our partners have the esu's which are against tmip and other different initiatives so we are trying to build this holistic approach at identifying and serving of students with big boy that is definitely that either statement to Cycle Nation in that communication that that relationship that we can build with without districts without yeses and with our neighboring Apartments States you know like I'm a big fan. Mister Rogers so you know I'm all about our neighbor and at the end of the day that purpose is to serve our children so it will work together that makes it easier doesn't make it easy it makes it easier we know that we still need to have that coordination and collaboration but it starts with we talkin to each other to get into to know each other and building this relationship so that is one of the big important aspects and I think we I'm going to I'm going to hand it over to Wendy so she can talk to you more about the new and improved tmip 2.0 thank you Nez and hello again everyone I want to what you've already heard from DD nezha Natalya that we are thrilled to have our intrastate Texas Partners and our Interstate partners that are working with us on all these different projects providing there feedback I'm helping us to make tmip what you needed to be to serve our migratory students and so kind of this is your summary slide when you look at it as you've already heard we are an initiative of the Texas Education Agency and these are kind of the big things that we've been working on so we are promoting the use of M6 move notices so that we can track that student mobility and we can see where our shared students going with in the stay out of the state and then to back that up or facilitating the use of those M6 data request just like Nana's was mentioning we need to have a way to track that information and send it securely so we really promote M6 because it is a secure the system and we are using dad information to make sure that our students are placed appropriately so the more and you let There is actually a session on that about the more information that is put into your state dated places to load into M6 the better it is for all of our students because then we have the needed information we have to make sure that they have the appropriate course credits and testing so that they're able to graduate and how the credits if they have earned the big project that were working on your heel or hear a little bit more about that as well is the out-of-state start EOC testing and thank you to the states that stepped up and said that they're willing to kind of help us pilot some ideas we certainly appreciate you for that I we have been working on providing a list of current state of Texas camp programs so is our state partners and partners have easy access to that we've also kept at list of the high school equivalency programs and then we're working on a list of steam stem and leadership camp camp opportunities that we can funnel our migratory students into during the summer when they need those cities and also for post-secondary once they graduate and then we're working on a list at to maintain and support our students at Rosy and then of course as I mentioned in my welcome we respond to technical it's request whether we received them via email or phone or even via m6 and we do that on a daily basis and then the last thing has never mentioned as what you're doing right now we host the annual virtual conference for the exchange of best practices support interstate and intrastate coordination and it's free that makes it even better and it's recorded so you don't miss out on anything I do want to take a moment if you haven't had the opportunity to go to our website I'm here screenshot of what the page looks like I am parents go right ahead we would welcome mat I wanted to point out these headers up here because it points out and talks about the resources that I mentioned on that previous slide so when you go to the Texas map we have WinStar EOC resources here and just because I have a place for Texas doesn't mean that no one else can look at and access it we were just trying to figure out where is the most appropriate place that we can put these resources so someone looking for them to find them quickly so here are the start you see resources more geared towards Texas you'll see the assessment calendar is there you also see the team at portal K12 parent resources that are there that tie directly back to to where is section on college going and career resources and those are the big ones you can see they are very definitely geared towards Texas the one in the center of the u.s. fire as a nationwide Network for those of you that are interested in knowing more about staff Santa in the changes with basa and financial aid in general as I mentioned are the stem and steam camps this list is constantly growing so if you have one in the state of Texas that you had would like to add to this list you're welcome to send it to us and once it's vetted it will be put on the website and then at the bottom are the summer camps for leadership that we've so far vetted and approved and put on the website when you go to the out of state this cage is still in development we're trying to figure out exactly what are out of state and partners need in order to serve our migratory students that we share you can see there's this estimate the Challenger again we also put some of those STAAR released test questions the link back to the the t e a website in case you want to use that with your students there's the frequently asked questions there's the overall test administrator Manual High School graduation rate tournaments we get questions on that what do the student have to to take and pass in order to accrue credits and graduate and state state of Texas there it is right there recently approved and added to the website is the 23 24 Texas migrant Interstate program test administrator information and it is currently pending approval the seating chart in the General Security oh so those things are coming and we do have a contact form if you would like to become a partner State and have not already done that and you'll hear us mention that a lot helpful resources we have started a list and we hope it'll grow for academic resources for our out will using of course we partner with isosy so they're highlighted right there and we have the different help programs that are approved in the state of Texas we also have the tea approve tutoring providers and the Texas Workforce Commission who will be president session at this conference about the resources they have that can provide wraparound services for our students there's some academic resources for K-12 and you are also going to hear some sessions on these resources that you can utilize with students and share with your parents right underneath that goes to the camp programs that are currently operating An approved in the state of Texas and then of course we have a reference back to the state and federal migrant education program resources then we have a few extra down here at the bottom and last but not least we do have a parent page that we have started and this page of course can be flipped in but in Spanish or whatever other language would like it to be so we have the win 888 number that you can share with families as they are migrating so that they can call for assistance or if they need information and then there's some other resources listed on the including some flyers that you can share with your parents in both English and Spanish and it has our contact information again right in the middle of the page so you will see changes on especially now that we're in the conference and getting more resources once a conference is over they'll free up a little more time for us and we'll be putting more more resources on here again we welcome your feedback you can go to Net it's plastered everywhere we went we welcome your feedback we want this program as both nose and a dahlia have we want this program to support our shared migratory students and we want to make sure it's a useful resource for you that we can steer you in the right direction assist you with the information you need and we can only do that through the partnership with our State an out-of-state partners so we're going to take just a minute this is a lot a lot easier when were actually with each other but in the chat we were wondering just so quick brainstorming ideas that we gave you a few little sentence stands here a little ideas to start you off some things that you might be able to do utilizing the information on the website so you directions to the team at portal so you could utilize less to assist your parents when they're working with their children and you could use them to work with your students and do Zoom follow up and support with them you can help your students apply for a stem or Steam summer camp like with applications or find it scholarship for Dad or finding other funding resources for them and then you could also print out the m6 Consolidated student report for your individual students you can help by sending him six move notices and you could work with us to refer Isabel students for out of state testing so just a few ideas but we want to know what are some things that you may already be looking at and doing or something that stands out to you if you don't mind putting that in the chat just some ideas of how you you could utilize tmip and the resources that we've made available on the website don't be shy yes the parent assistant scholarships Camp information University visits all great ideas Zoom support gifts and again I want to emphasize to you these are our shared migratory students and so when we work together we're better anything that you come up with that you're liking this might be a great resource to share and it would look it would be helpful you know 40 MIP to put this out there to help coordinated please by all means send it to us we would be happy to utilize that okay I'm going to turn it over to Miss Lily now to talk a little bit about m6 and what we're doing with that good morning everyone thank you for being here with us today okay I'm a nice slide on our notices okay you can see that every student is live in your area you can go ahead and fill out to M6 move notice and it's very important as you can see from the previous huge role in tracking or coordination of our students so it's very important that you always submit a notice to if they're leaving your area and provide as much information as you can even if it's just a parent name and a phone number at least we can contact that parents through the phone number we don't even have a phone and we here in Texas, Texas student data system so I can look up the Steelers to see it it's already in road then I can go ahead and notify that region where that student is but sometimes we get always lie students and or little little little babies that are not Stone we don't have access to know where they're at if we don't have a city or town or even the phone number to be able to come to me and notices from if you know that you receive a student from a different state or different read them in text with him then you can go ahead and submit that movie you know that in forming the that other state or region where ever the student came from letting them know that they came to your area from there from them and the data request you need to provide as much as possible grader if you know if it's within the system and you have the chance and yes number go ahead and provide that number will forward that information to the Dayton region to the LA wherever that it may be up and picked up a lot of reports that you can use utilize to look up your students to see where they're at and like some of them great retention the potential in Roman that's very important where you can go and look and see if any of those students are in your area that you can you know contacts for a potential Michael Jordan and everything that you do with them  is very important to document because if you get audited you'll have all that documentation on there and everything and put the information in there if they're too so that you can go back and look for that information so you know if you email her on call Nate make note of all those phone calls and keep track of all the emails and that package documentation for you to have that information on that stupid but if you need access to and see if you can contact your ESP or they can provide you access to them or also you access and 64 any training videos that they have online that are free that you can go in there and look at any of the videos are also your ears eaten there or you can contact us the guy used for training here is some goals and objectives for the pmip we would like to empower the end the maps tab their data request move notices them report I like I said you're gonna see that constantly kick his dad you know the way to keep track of all the students of where they're at where they're coming from and Wendy mentioned have to make sure that you can put all that correct information into your database system because all that piece into the end but all the information that your system that has it is bright and goes right into him 6 so you know I'm a student from a different state we would be able to look at the send my program and post-secondary read we also want to build in Pasadena for the parents and family but directing them to needed at the academic resources and commitment to support this. okay where are out-of-state we have a Cooperative agreement and what the interstate battery charge student Cooperative agreement with we call it an agreement is between the Texas Education Agency and the Department of Education to coordinate collaborate on the administration of Texas mandated by the student is in a received a test administrators will be selected by the state's Medicaid Program training for the test administrator will be facilitated by tmsv and conducted online is the receiving state does not have an accent insta DM IP will attempt to with a neighboring state that has an active agreement and we have an Arizona Minnesota and Nebraska North Dakota Ohio Pennsylvania and Wisconsin I have already submitted their agreement with with us and we welcome any other state that would like to enter into an agreement with us or if you have any other information I mean you can contact us and our contact information is on the screen as you can see if she might be a DLC 21-18 3454 711 thank you Lily so if you can hear we're trying to streamline the process we're trying to make it user-friendly and we're trying to kind of update MIP and what it does to help support everyone including not just our met staff but our students and their families in state out of state you know we're trying to make the process work all stakeholders involved in as Lily was mentioning that means that M6 is a vital role in there because we all have access to M6 in our various States so no more in Texas were doing away with the emails do all your data request right through M6 give us as much information as possible like what Lily was explaining and then we're working on that process that's what this light is about for referring the students for what is State Testing is in development and we do have one state in particular but a couple of States who have offered to kind of help us prototype test out this process to make sure that it works for out-of-state partners in-state Partners as well as far as a referral but we do know that that process will involve a student referral form will be utilizing T sngs reports to locate students were going to be using the m6 reports. and where they are and will of course be working on that collaboration when they're out of state partners because we can't do it without that and then there will be the oath of confidentiality and the seating chart and those are both pinion approval right now Roseville once approved will share with our out-of-state Partners at this time we're kind of planning that we will have a virtual q-and-a session for out-of-state partners that have signed an agreement were not sure we're hoping machine like maybe marched so that we have a chance to get all of these things approved and posted to the website so that then we can answer questions for our stakeholders but we will send that information out to you as soon as we have so what you see on your screen now is the testing December's already pass April's coming so we're working on that process as quickly as possible and then of course we're sure that June is going to be our very large testing time frame so we really want to get those processes and procedures in place as quickly as possible and get that feedback from our stakeholders States it will be an online Administration we're going to try to make everything as online and virtual as possible and I'm going to let Lily speak a little bit to the process because she basically handled the December testing and so I would like her to kind of explain that in December we received a letter VA or Texas Education Agency and Commission in the database where they keep on him and we had 42 students on that list and out of the 42 students there was eight students that were either current migrant migratory students that were not enrolled in the in our database systems and also there were some that had already expired so I contacted contact the families and you know what what was going on the ones that were still have eligibility why why weren't they checked in jail system that had expired to see if maybe there was potential so we had one student that did two and December I'm glad of that so you can hear there's are there are a lot of moving Parts because the December one is kind of a small test Administration it will get larger in April like I said the June one will be huge so having those tide report from the state agency having a TX and GS reports having the m6 reports and then lots of communication with our out-of-state partner so that we can locate do students have a process in place and get them tested huge lots of moving parts so we're excited about it we're excited about the opportunity we know we're going to be very busy with it but again we really want to make it a very streamlined usable process for everyone involved that being said you heard a lot in this presentation from from not just us at the MIT but also tea about the federal requirements state requirement the coordination all the pieces that go together the puzzle to make the complete picture to serve our students as they're migrating with in the state of Texas and outside the state of Texas and we all know that the education program is big on documentation and we always ask this question when we are presenting within the state but since we have a larger audience we would really love to hear how do you in your State your ESC or Ellie a wherever you are how do you document what you were doing to provide services to your your students as their traveling in the state and out of the state and if you don't mind putting that in the chat we really appreciate that how do you document I see M6 logs I know several people that keep count of the work list IDs and where it came from and where how they resolved it spreadsheet activity tracker check in oh connect teams log seem to be pretty popular that's will be here a lot when we are when we present at different levels lot of people really like the spreadsheet for tracking it seems to be the easiest way to see where your students have gone and what you've been able to do for them keeping the email Google spreadsheet log reports notes awesome well thank you for participating in answering that for us like I said we really like to hear innovative ways and what you guys are doing and what works especially because there is so much documentation to the migrant education program so somebody has some wonderful new brainstorming idea we all want to share in that because when it'll make our students successful in the long run so I'm going to turn it back over we hope that you find that very beneficial as far as getting an idea as to what tmip can do and as the previous question you can always start with them and they can always coordinate to a coordinate open as the troubleshooting help room and so if you get stuck or need assistance you are welcome to come back to this link and someone will be here to help you troubleshoot to get into your session
